Where are you based and where do you cover?
We are based in Somerset. We are able to cover all of South West England but please note that some longer distances will require us to charge travel expenses or overnight accommodation costs.
What qualifications does your team hold?
Our team are professionally qualified.
- Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
- Post Graduate Qualification in Careers Guidance (QCG)
- National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) 4 – Advice and Guidance
- NVQ 4 – Learning, Development Support Services for Young People, their Parents and Carers.
- Connexions Personal Adviser Diploma
- British Psychological Society Level A – Psychometric Testing
We also hold organisationally delivered qualifications in Train the Trainer – Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding, First Aid Appointed Persons, Food Hygiene and Health and Safety Vetting for work placements.
Are your team CRB checked?
Our team all have enhanced CRB certificates. Copies available on request.
What insurance to you have?
Insured to the following levels for Public Liability Insurance (PLI) – 5million, Employers’ Liability Insurance – 10m and Professional Indemnity – 1m. All our trips are covered by PLI but not personal insurance so parents/carers should consider purchasing their own.
Do you use ‘Risk assessment’?
All our activities are full risk assessed – copies available if required.
What experience do you have?
Working with young people in a variety of settings; charity working to re-engage young people back into education, Connexions delivering impartial advice and guidance, training providers delivering vocational training, the Local Authority working with young people on the edge of criminal and anti-social behaviour and providing Personal Adviser support.
What ages do you work with?
We work with young people aged 5 to 21 years old. we will consider working with older age groups depending on assessment of need. Please contact us to discuss.
Are there any young people that you would not work with?
It is difficult to think of a situation where we wouldn’t work with a young person. We risk assess all of our delivery so we may have to broker in additional staffing if a young person had a history of violent or sexual aggression. We would never place any other young person at any risk. If you have a particularly challenging young person please ring us to discuss.
How much does it cost?
All our programmes are tailored to individual requirements so please contact us to discuss. One thing you can be assured of is value for money and a total commitment to ensuring that significant progress is made. We can deliver group work for as low as £35 per day per young person and individual sessions starting at £25 per hour. Significant discount are available on specific programmes. All of our pricing will be agreed prior to commencement of work and will deliver excellent value for money.
